Great gardens are never complete. They constantly evolve, though not always according to your plan. Often times people try to make the landscape conform to their ideas without regard to the existing site conditions such as topography, lighting, water and plant competition. In some cases beautiful gardens can be coaxed from nature with careful management of what is existing, without ever buying a plant. In other cases you may have to destroy what is there to create something that is more cohesive to the site, and more suitable for your needs and desires.
